16. 1. Dia de San Antón, el patron de Torvizcon, celebrado con una gran fiesta y las hogueras de San Antón.

Fruehling 11

Erleben Sie diese wunderbare Gegend von ihrer besten Seite! Alles ist gruen und blueht. Der suesse Duft der Azahar (Orangenbluete) ist allgegenwaertig. Auch eignet sich diese Jahreszeit herrvoragend zum Wandern.

Nun beginnt auch die Zeit der „fiestas“. Bis in den spaeten Herbst findet nun fast jede Woche irgendwo eine fiesta statt. Meist handelt es sich um den Schutzpatron des jeweiligen Ortes, oder es sind eine Art „Ritterspiele“ zwischen den Mauren und den Christen, Busquistar feiert Sylvester im Sommer!!! Oder man erfindet einen Grund um eine fiesta zu organisieren!!

Spring 11

Experience this wonderful region from its best side! Everything is green and flowering. Get captured by the sweet and unresistable scent of the Azahar (orangeblossom)! This is also a wonderful time of year to do some hiking.

Now also begins the time of the „fiestas“. Until late autumn a litte or big fiesta will be celebrated somewhere in the region. Mostly it´s the birthday of the villagesaint, or it´s a type of reproduction of the fights between the Moors and the Christians, Busquistar celebrates its New Years´ Eve in summer(!). Or a reason is being invented to justify a fiesta!

Primavera 11

Ved esta bonita region de su mejor lado! Todo esta verde y floreciendo. Dejados capturar por el dulce y irresistible perfume de la Azahar (la flor de los naranjos)! Es un tiempo muy apto para hacer senderismo en La Alpujarra.

Ahora tambien empieza la temporada de las fiestas. Hasta muy tarde en el otoño se encuentra una fiesta grande o pequeño en cualquier pueblo casi cada semana. Normalmente se trata del dia del Santo del pueblo, o se reproducen las luchas entre los Moros y los Cristianos, Busquistar celebra su Noche Vieja en verano!! O simplemente se inventa un razon para una fiesta!

Ostern 11

Die Osterwoche ist ein kulturelles Schmankerl in ganz Andalusien! Granada alleine hat insgesamt 32(!!) verschiedene Prozessionen an nur 8 Tagen. Jeder auch noch so kleine Ort hat seine eigenen Prozessionen. Erleben Sie  diese wunderbare , fuer die Andalusier so wichtige, Jahreszeit!

Jedes Jahr von Gruendonnerstag bis Ostersonntag haelt ORGIVA  eine kleine Kunsthandwerksmesse , wo Sie alles finden, was diese Region zu bieten hat.

Easter 11

The Easterweek is one big cultural highlight of Andalucia!!Granada alone has alltogether 32(!!!) different processions in only 8 days! Even in the smallest of villages you will come across a procession. This is a wonderful opportunity to catch a glimpse of the Andalucian soul!

Every year from Easter Thursday until Easter Sunday ORGIVA holds its feria, a small handicraft fair, where you can find everything this region has got to offer.

Semana Santa 11

La Semana Santa es uno de los puntos culminantes de Andalucia!! Solo Granada capital tiene 32(!!!) distintas procesiones en tan solo 8 dias! Este tiempo da una maravillosa oportunidad de vislumbrar a la alma Andaluza!

Cada año ORGIVA tiene su feria entre El Jueves Santo y el Domingo Santo, ahi se encuentra toda la artesanía que produce la comarca.

DIA DE LA CRUZ  3.Mai 11

Viele Doerfer der Provinz Granada feiern diesen Tag, aber am besten erlebt man ihn in Granada selber. Ueberall werden Kreuze festlichst und mit viel Fantasie geschmueckt, wovon die Besten praemiert werde. Die ganze Stadt ist unterwegs, meist in ihren bunten Trachten, alles drinkt, singt, tanzt und ist froehlich, ueberall erklingen Flamencotoene auch geschmueckte Esel mischen sich unter die Menge Eine hervorragende Moeglichkeit um Andalucias Seele live zu erleben!

DIA DE LA CRUZ   3rd of May 11

Many villages of the province of Granada celebrate this day, but the best it´s experienced in the Capital, Granada. Everywhere they decorate crosses with lots of fantasy and the best will win prices. The whole city is on the move, mostly in their colourful traditional outfits. Everyone drinks, sings, dances and is just merry, everywhere you can listen to Flamenco music and even donkeys mingle among the crowds. Another wonderful oportunity to feel Andalucias soul.

DIA DE LA CRUZ   3 de Mayo 11

Muchos pueblos en la provincia de Granada celebran este dia, pero lo mas grande lo hace Granada capital. En cada rincon se decoran cruces con mucha fantasía y las mejores van a ser premiadas.Toda la ciudad esta presente en sus trajes típicos, tomando copas, cantando, bailando y simplemente disfrutandose. Otra oportunidad excelente de experimentar en vivo la alma Andaluza!

23. und 24. Juni, LANJARON

San Juan, Lanjarons Schutzpatron, feiert seinen Namenstag in grossem Stil!! Das Fest dauert eine ganze Woche mit sehr grossem und vielseitigem Rahmenprogramm.

Ein Hoehepunkt ist ein grosser Umzug im Stile eines Karnevalumzugs. Ausserdem ist Lanjaron ja ein Thermalkurort, hat also viel Wasser, somit wird an einem Tag um Mitternacht 1 Stunde freigegeben, wo alles eralubt ist, da wird dann jeder und alles von jedem mit Wasser durchnaesst....eine echte Gaudi!!

23rd and 24th of June  -  LANJARON

San Juan, the patron saint of Lanjaron, celebrates his namesday. The fiesta lasts a whole week with lots of different activities. A highlight would be a parade, similar to the carnevalparades in Germany. Also Lanjaron being a wellknown Spa, one night at midnight everything goes concerning water. So everybody is out to drown everybody else in water....a big and very wet fun!!!

Los dias 23 y 24 de Junio  -  LANJARÓN

San Juan, el santo de Lanjarón, celebra su dia durante una semana entera con muchas actividades distintas. Como punto culminante destaca la „Publica“, un desfile tipo carnaval y tambien la noche de San Juan a la medianoche por una hora la gente se moja el uno al otro en todo el pueblo.

Der Schutzpatron von Guajar Faragüit. Auch gibt es allerlei Festlichkeiten ueber 3 –4 Tage hindurch. Hoehepunkt ist eine Prozession mit darauffolgendem GROSSEM Feuerwerk. An diesen Tagen platzt dieses kleine Doerfchen aus allen Naehten – ein Genuss dabeizusein!!

Die Woche vorher feiert Fondon seinen Schutzpatron und die Woche nachher feiert Guajar Alto.

San Lorenzo  11th of August 11

The patronsaint of Guajar Faragüit. His namesday also is being celebrated during 3 to 4 days, the highlight being a big procession, followed by an impresive firework display! During these days heaps of people are about the village and it´s pure fun being part of it! The week before Fondon celebrates its Saint and the week after Guajar Alto.

San Lorenzo  el dia 11 de Agosto 11

El santo del pueblo de Guajar Faragüit . Esta fiesta tambien dura unos 3 o 4 dias El punto culminante es una procesión que sigue las calles del pueblo, seguido por unos fuegos artificiales grandes y impresionantes. La semana anterior es Fondon que celcbra sus fiestas y la semana despues toca a Guajar Alto.
